1. ASAP Utilities menu
Numbers » Apply formula to selected cells...

Apply a formula to the selected range.

For example multiply all cells in selection with 10, without having to add an extra column and enter a formula to do this.
A formula will be built around the original formula or value in your cell. For example if you have a formula =(12*2) in a cell and you use ASAP Utilities to apply the formula /24 the result will be: =(12*2)/24.
By default this can be started with the shortcut Ctrl+Alt+I trong ASAP Utilities.

The last 100 used formulas are remembered so you can easily re-use them.
Users of the non-English Excel versions can now type in the formula in their local language. For example in the Dutch version you used to have to use a point as decimal separator. You can now use the comma. You can also use the local version of worksheet formulas, for example if you have the Dutch version of Excel you can now enter '+SOM(G20:G40)' instead of the English version: +SUM(G20:G40).
We have improved the error handling. You get a warning if an applied formula produces an error.
In the range of cells you select the formula will only be applied to cells that have no errors, are not empty and have a value of formula with a numeric or logical result (text cells will be skipped). Array formulas will also be skipped.

Bạn cũng có thể dùng tên hàm bằng ngôn ngữ của phiên bản đó, thí dụ với phiên bản tiếng Hoà Lan, bạn có thể gõ ‘+SOM(G20:G40)’ thay cho hàm của phiên bản tiếng Anh ‘+SUM(G20:G40)’. Chúng tôi cũng cải tiến việc bắt lỗi: bạn sẽ được 1 thông báo lỗi nếu bạn gõ 1 công thức hoặc hàm bị sai.
Các công thức bạn gõ chỉ được áp đặt nếu vùng chọn khôn có cell bị lỗi, không trống, và phải có giá trị hoặc công thức trả về giá trị số hoặc giá triị logic. Cel chứa giá trị text, chứa công thức mảng sẽ bị bỏ qua.

Convert formulas to their values.
For example [=A2*(C19/12)] becomes the calculated value. It does the same as copy » paste special » paste values but in one step.

Thí dụ cell có công thức = A2*C19/12 sẽ trở thành giá trị sau khi tính toán. Nó tương đương với copy, paste special – value, nhưng chỉ 1 bước.
By default this can be started with the shortcut Ctrl+Alt+P in ASAP Utilities.

3. ASAP Utilities menu

Numbers » Convert "textnumbers" to numbers

You might experience that sometimes Excel recognizes numbers as text; they are left aligned and they don’t work in your formulas. This utility will convert them to numbers in a way that Excel recognizes.
This utility will also help you if Excel gives you errors on your vlookup() formulas because it treats the numbers as text and therefore can’t find a matching value.
Note: This utility doesn’t convert numbers with decimal separators to your local settings. For example a lot of Dutch people have problems with imported text files, because the numbers are shown as e.g. 120.00. If you experience this, replace (Control+H) the point (or whatever) to your decimal separator (in The Netherlands a comma).

Ắt hẳn bạn đã từng thấy Excel coi số như là 1 chuỗi text. Chúng canh lề trái và không tham gia tính toán trong công thức. Công cụ ASAP sẽ chuyển đổi chúng thành số sao cho Excel nhận ra.
Tiện ích này cũng giúp bạn nếu bạn dùng Vlookup() và Excel gây ra lỗi, vì nó xem cell đó không chứa số mà chứa chuỗi, kết quả là Excel không tìm thấy giá trị cần tìm.
Ghi chú: Tiện ích này không chuyển số với dấu thập phân khác với caài đặt của hệ thống. Thí dụ phần lớn người Hoà Lan gặp rắc rối với dữ liệu text lấy ở nguồn ngoài Excel. Vì số hiện lên theo dạng chẳng hạn 120.00 trong khi cài đặt hệ thống của Excel Hoà lan mặc định dấu thập phân là dấu phảy. Gặp trường hợp này, bạn dùng công cụ tìm và thay thế (Ctrl + H) dấu chấm bằng dấu thập phân quy ước của ngôn ngữ bạn. (ở Hoà Lan là dấu phẩy)

4. ASAP Utilities menu

Numbers » Convert numbers to text (adding ' in front)

Convert numbers to text.
This will add an apostrophe (') in front of the value in each selected cell. Formulas will be converted to their values.
If you are interested in spelling out numbers you can use the utility "Spell numbers or amounts (EN, DE, NL)".
Chuyển đổi số thành chuỗi dạng text.

Nó sẽ tạo ký tự dấu nháy đơn (‘) ở trước các giá trị số trong mỗi ô chọn. Công thức sẽ bị đổi thành giá trị số trước.

Converts all numbers to positive, all to negative or all negative to positive, and all positive numbers to negative.

Numbers » Move "-" from back to front (e.g. "65-" to "-65")

Moves the minus sign ('-') from back to front For example [65-] becomes [-65]
This utility is especially useful when you have to deal with certain imported text files.


Chuyển dấu trừ từ sau ra trước thí dụ [65-] thành [-65]

Công cụ này tỏ ra hữu dụng khi xử lý dữ liệu im port từ nguồn ngoài Excel.

Significant decimals, e.g. when you enter 3, formatting will be:
12.0123123 becomes 12.0123 and
12.00002134 becomes 12.0000213

Ấn định số chữ số thập phân có nghĩa, thí dụ khi bạn chọn 3, định dạng sẽ là:
12.0123123 trở thành 12.0123 và
12.00002134 trở thành 12.0000213

Numbers » Convert percentages to numbers

Convert percentages to general numbers.
Instead of converting 5% to 0.05, this utility will convert percentages to their real number, in this case 5.

Chuyển đổi số phần trăm thành số tự nhiên. Thay vì chuyển 5% thành 0,05, công cụ này chuyển chúng thành số tự nhiên trong trường hợp này là 5.

9. ASAP Utilities menu

Numbers » Spell numbers or amounts (EN, DE, NL)...

Convert numbers to words (spell numbers).
For example 12.75 becomes Twelve Dollars and Seventy Five Cents
At this moment is has the languages English, German and Dutch built in.
Default currencies are none, dollars or euro, but you can also type in your own currency.
The spelling will spell up to two decimals.

Đọc số thành chữ. Thí dụ 12,75 sẽ được chuyển đổi thành Mười hai Dollars và bảy mươi lăm Cents. Hiện tại có 3 ngôn ngữ là tiếng Anh, tiếng Đức, và tiếng Hoà Lan. Mặc định tiền tệ là không, US dollar, Euro, nhưng bạn cũng có thể gõ đơn vị tiền tệ riêng của mình.
Phần đọc số này sẽ đọc đến 2 chữ số thập phân.

10. ASAP Utilities menu

Numbers » Round numbers (not formatting, but changing)...

Round the numbers in selected cells. Instead of using cell formatting to round the numbers, the numbers in your cells will actually be replaced by its rounded value.
This tool will not just change the format, but actually changes the number. Therefore some information might be lost.
Example: convert 5.32 to 5.3 or convert 1026.89 to 1030.

Làm cho các con số trở nên tròn số. Thay vì sử dụng định dạng để làm tròn số, các giá trị số trong các cell chọn được thay thế bằng các con số đã được làm tròn.
Công cụ này không làm thay đổi định dạng, mà là thực sự thay đổi giá trị số. Do đó một vài thông tin có thể bị mất.
Thí dụ đổi 5,32 thành 5,3 hoặc đổi 1026,89 thành 1030.
